Here's a disarmingly simple-sounding question: Is anger a sin, or an emotion? Depends on whether you ask a medieval theologian or a psychologist.

Wrath — also known as anger, rage, ire, acrimony and fury — is something that happens to each of us with some frequency. Hell, even Jesus got angry, making wrath the only of the Seven Deadly Sins he ever came close to committing. (Of course, his was a righteous anger, and God did say "Vengeance is mine," so his soul is still squeaky clean.)

Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night doesn't take quite the temple-overturning approach to wrath that Jesus did, but there's still a bunch of frustrated, furious folks and a religious service at the end. Time to pop in Disc 6 of your Sports Night DVDs and cue up Episode 42, "April is the Cruelest Month."

Next time? We're going to continue our Sabrina Lloyd lovefest when we explore the sin of Greed in Sliders.
